The Spiral Mindscope: I dont wish to believe Carl Sagan (watch the audio-visual link) when he says 'Earth is the only place we've got'. Like Poat in K-Pax, I say "I'm an explorer hitching a ride on cosmic dust across the inter-galactic space. I'm spending some time on planet earth on my way to wider reaches of the great unknowns and whilst I'm here I'm a scientist, intellectual, doctor, forensic psychiatrist, father, son, universal citizen. I'm motivated by curiosity not money, challenge not comfort, creation not reduction, connection not separation, science and spirit both not one or the other, spirit not religion, archaeo-astronomy not molecular biology, ideas not beliefs, hope not despair, trust not mistrust, care not dare, monistic idealism not materialism, dimensional not categorical, ephemeral not concrete, intuitive not analytical."
